COOK hammers are proudly
MADE in the USA.
All production is done in Rhode Island
using domestic labor and materials.
In 1937 Lawrence H. Cook began making his hammers in East Providence, Rhode Island, because he saw the need for fine quality, non-marring hammers in local industry. He began producing lead hammers to meet this need, and COOK Hammer Company was born.
The original lead hammer has always been, and continues to be, one of the main types of hammer. Its especially soft blow makes it ideal for many sensitive applications, giving it a key place among the other lines of soft alloy hammers developed at COOK over the years.
Today COOK Hammer Company operates out of it's plant in Warwick, Rhode Island. We have expanded from the original line of lead hammers and are proud to offer 9 lines of special application hammers.
For 65 years we have improved our technology in non-marring hammers:- perfecting quality, safety and design
- adding new lines of hammers for specific applications, including non-sparking and dead-blow hammers.
Now, as always, all production is done on site using
domestic labor and materials.
